This Privacy Policy explains how Aitechcity Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“Aitechcity”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects the personal information of users (“you”) of the Aitechcity platform and associated services.

We are committed to handling your data responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable privacy laws including the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password. We never store your plain-text password.

Repository Data: When you connect a repository via OAuth (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket), we access the repository contents you authorize. This data is indexed to power search, analysis, and AI features.

Usage Data: We collect logs of actions performed within the platform (searches, questions asked, features used) for product improvement and security purposes. These logs do not include the content of your code.

Communications: If you contact us by email or submit feedback, we retain that communication to respond and improve our service.

• To authenticate your identity and maintain account security
• To index and analyze your connected repositories for AI-powered features
• To send transactional emails (OTP verification, password reset, account notices)
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security threats
• To improve product features based on aggregate usage patterns

We want to be explicit about how your code is used by our AI systems:

• Your private repositories are NOT used to train our AI models
• Code content is processed in-context to answer your queries and is not stored beyond session needs
• Indexed embeddings (vector representations) are stored to power semantic search — these cannot be reverse-engineered into your original source code
• You can delete your workspace and all associated data at any time

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share data with:

Service Providers: Third-party infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, databases, email delivery) that process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose information where required by law, court order, or government authority.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction with prior notice to you.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Repository indexes are retained until you disconnect the repository or delete your account. Usage logs are retained for up to 12 months for security and analytics purposes.

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, bcrypt password hashing, rate limiting on authentication endpoints, and regular security audits. However, no system is 100% secure — please use strong, unique passwords and enable verification features.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Withdraw consent for data processing where applicable
• Export your data in a portable format

We use cookies and similar technologies for:

• Session management (authentication tokens — strictly necessary)

We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Essential session cookies cannot be disabled as they are required for the Service to function.

The Service is not directed to children under 13 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete it promptly.
